Barrett and I climbed Mt. Elinor this summer with a group from our ward. Jamee Mahoney was our fearless leader.

What a great view. Everywhere you looked was picturesque.

Stopping for a one of my favorite snacks...blueberries.

Heather Hodo and myself.

All the kids had a blast turning the beach into a river. They worked pretty steady for a long time.

Captain Barrett assuming his usual position in the boat.

This is sunbathing in the Northwest! This is the Fourth of July weekend. We traditionally spend it at the lake house. This year the Mahoneys, Thompsons, and Hayes joined us. We had a great time despite the chill.
Me and my fellow sun worshipers; Dennese Mahoney, Cheyenne Hayes and Sarah Thompson.

The adorable lake house! We love it here!

We have eggs!!! We have accomplished our goal!

We got 4 baby chicks last spring. The kids LOVED to play with them. Bella especially. She loved them a little too much.

We lost one little chick when Bella attempted to give it a ride. I think the poor thing was trying to escape when Bella sat down. She didn't seem too upset by the whole thing. She was asking for a snack right after. But Cole was really devestated. He was crying and praying that the chick would live. Didn't quite work out. :(

Cole and Bella pitched in and painted.

The finished product of Barrett's hard work. This was made of scrap material aside from one sheet of plywood and the trim.

Bella was so excited to have her own classes at ORLA (Olympia Regional Learning Academy). This was her first day.

One of her classes is karate. She's thrilled to be there. She is sporting a martial arts outfit that Cole had from dance class last year. She didn't care at all that she was the only one wearing anything like it aside from the instructors.
She loves school and askes every day what classes she has and if she can do school. I have to say that's refreshing, last year when we first started Cole was always asking when recess was. She also loves workbooks while Cole does not. He's more of a hands on learner.

Cole on his first day of Montessori. He looks so grown up. He really loves it so far and so do I!

Luckily you can't really tell, but he had cut his own hair just before this was taken. I was thinking we were passed that now that he is seven.
He wanted his hair to stick up and I told him it was too long to do that. So rather than have me help him, he cut a small section in front right down to the scalp. So now Bella has cut her own and Chad's and now Cole. It's a hair stylists nightmare!
