Cole has been waiting since the school year began to bring home Ziggy, the class pet at Montessori. He finally had his chance last week. He was super excited about it! It was a great experience for him. The only thing that didn't go so smoothly was the feeding part. Ziggy had to have either crickets or meal worms to eat. Cole could handle the crickets, but Ziggy didn't seem to want them. That left the worms. Cole could'nt take handling the worms. I held firm having him do it on his own just out of principle. I wasn't very popular to say the least. We both held our ground. The end result...Cole will not be getting a lizard of his own...ever. Nough said.

Bella's lost teeth

At 5 and a half, Bella has her first 2 loose teeth.

She lost her first tooth January 30th. :) She was soo excited! Cole was, too. He wanted to pull it out so badly! He kept asking her over and over. I think it may have been even worse for him after the first one came out. Then she was left with a single tooth just dangling there. It was killing him to see it.
She was very excited for the tooth fairy to come. She put it under her pillow but, alas, the tooth fairy had a very busy night and didn't even make it until the next morning while Bella was eating breakfast. She's a sneaky one, that tooth fairy.

She lost the second one the next day. Phew, Cole could finally relax. I must admit, it was a bit harder for me to have her lose her first teeth. It wasn't so much that way for Cole, but for Bella I was sad to see her move on to the next step of growing up. It must be the excitement of seeing the oldest experience the "firsts" that made it okay with Cole. For Bella all I can think is that she's growing up way too fast!
